Classic Game Room HD – RACQUET SPORTS for Nintendo Wii review
May 8th, 2010 by VC Review
Classic Game Room HD reviews RACQUET SPORTS for Nintendo Wii from Ubisoft. Play a variety of racquet related sports on your Wii using the Wii Motion Plus accessory like tennis, ping pong, badminton, beach tennis and squash. This game also works with the usb Eye control for Nintendo Wii. A direct competitor to Nintendo’s own Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, you may find the controls more responsive than most tennis style games on the Wii. This CGR review of Racquet Sports on Nintendo Wii has gameplay from Racquet Sports showing sporting game play in Racket Sports on Wii *spelled wrong. What a racket!! Ubisoft’s Racquet Sports is a well made collection of five games all based on the one simple concept of having smooth motion controls on Nintendo Wii without many additional frills.

@JujuDawg i have a friend that plays tennis, he plays wii tennis just for practice so he can get the moves right… it’s like guitar hero, i play it to practice and get fast fingers because i’m having bass classes

I have a feeling people familiar with badminton might find it more enjoyable. It’s a sport that is very much in the wrist with not a lot of shoulder movement.

@Hazelrat10 “They’re meant for fatass [people] who are too lazy to go out and actually play the sport, because of their lack of stamina and lack of skill.”
That describes every console sports game ever made. And don’t think you’re special because you’re American, Euros and Aussies and Asians can be fatasses too.

i hate sports games but when i seen virtual tennis for the dreamcast it blew me away. shit was fun as hell. I so need to pick me up a dreamcast just to play that game hehe

And you know what? The funny part is that you’re actually paying MORE to play a crappy version of tennis on a Wii than you would be playing tennis, even after taking a month of lessons.

First off, all Wii sports games suck. They’re meant for fatass Americans who are too lazy to go out and actually play the sport, because of their lack of stamina and lack of skill. I should know, because I’m both an American and own a Wii. Second off, Badminton IS flicking your wrist, pretty much. I play Badminton and Tennis pretty much all year except winter, and I play Ping-Pong. I suggest that you actually go play a real sport with real people instead of flicking a controller by yourself.

The characters look a little creepy with no arms, while the Miis don’t have arms either, they also looked less real and far more cartoony. Maybe it’s just a requirement in tennis to have your arms chopped off and antigravity cuffs put onto your hands so you can play

Youtube CC: 2:50 except that it just feels more like you’re putting your wrist around rather than actually playing Iraqi sports. 3:03 the dead man is my least favorite game of the series…
