INSTRUCTIONS Sorry about the flickering in parts of the video HOW TO CONNECT YOUR WII TO THE INTERNET 1) On the Wii Menu, click “Wii Options” in the bottom right. 2) Click on “Wii Settings” 3) Go one page right and click “Internet” 4) Click Connecton Settings 5) Click “Connection 1 | None” 6) Click “Wireless Connection” 7) Click “Search for an Access Points” 8) The screen will say “Choose the access point you want to connect to.” Click ok and choose your access point (most likely with the strongest signal) 9) Now, “Input the password or key.” This is the password needed for authorization to connect to the access point. You will have chosen this when you first set up your internet. 10) Click ok and save the connection settings. The console will now test the connection. If it is successful, it will ask if you would like to update your Wii. Click yes. Congratulations, your Nintendo Wii is now connected to the internet. You can now browse the shop channel and downloaded a variety of software, including games made especially for the Wii and the BBC iPlayer. I hope you enjoyed the video, and I hope you enjoy the new features of your online Wii! CONNECTION AMBASSADOR PROMOTION Want 500 free points to spend in the Wii Shop Channel? Simple. 1) Go on the Wii Shop Channel. At the bottom left, there is a button that says “Connection Ambassador Promotion.” Click it. 2) Now click “Person who was helped” and enter in my wii number: 0781 2156 7509 9983. Return to the Wii menu. 3) Now

    If you have a wireless router you won’t need the Wii LAN Adapter. However, if your internet connection is wired, your Wii will not be able to connect on it’s own, therefore you will need the “usb wii port.”

    The internet channel? It shouldn’t have deleted it, but if it did you can re-download it free of charge from the Wii Shop Channel.

    My best bet is that your modem isnt wireless, in which case you’ll need the Wii LAN Adapter and a spare ethernet cable to create a wired internet connection.

    You would first need to download the internet channel from the Wii Shop Channel, which I think is now free of charge, but then yes you could watch and comment on this video.

    I heard you can just go on the internet on it once it’s hooked up…. Is that true? Like, if I hooked it up right now, could I watch and comment on this video with my Wii?

    You have to download the Internet channel and other channels like the Everybody Votes channel manually via the Wii Shop Channel, they don’t just appear when you update. On your menu you should have the disc, mii, photo, shop, news and forecast channels already.

    @iamsecksy it turns out i entered the wrong password >_> its a whole bunch of numbers so im not surprised i missed one number

    @atiba1
    I cannot give you the password. It’s like PIN number’s with bank accounts; I don’t know yours. You don’t know mine. You have to find out the password from the person who set up the connection, and that was not me. Good luck getting connected.

  24. iamsecksy said:

    @mrkrabbz44
    Does it give you an error code or merely say it can’t connect.

    If you don’t have a router and you want to access the internet on your Wii then you will need a Wii LAN Adapter. This is a cable which enables a connection from your ethernet port to one of the USB ports on the back of the Wii console. Basically, it gives you everything having a router would but it is through a wired connection rather than wireless. Contact Nintendo/your local retail store for information on ordering one.
