N64 Sin & Punishment – Intro & Tutorial
March 14th, 2010 by VC Review
Now this is an ablosute must. The Legendary ‘Sin & Punishemnt’ from Treasure is one of the most well know N64 games that was never relased in the weast… until now. Part of the Hanabi Festival, it was released in Europe and 3 days later, in the US Wii Virtual Console. Truly amazing, fast paced shooter, it’s a bit like Starfox, but you don’t have a vehicle, you run, jump and shoot your way out of trouble. This is the Intro.

@projec64 are there plastic tabs inside the n64 system cart input? I think that is what stops other regional games from being played.

Did people in the year 1999 really think that by 2007 we’d have all those futuristic machines and buildings?

I always see that date on the clock and I keep on thinking (And it’s quite weird and funny) that it’s the date of the release on the VC, I know it’s not really true but would be funny if it was.

My God, that screen doesn’t fit well…

I finally played the game after a slightly lengthy download. Take Star Fox 64, Panzer Dragoon and Space Harrier, then mix with Treasure’s charm; no other game can blend action and shooting like Sin and Punishment. The game is short but sweet and I found that the Type 3 setup works best.

Just downloaded this and SMB 2: The Lost Levels. Great games. Very good year so far for the Wii. SSX Blur, Super Paper Mario, RE 4 Wii Edition,Mario Strikers Charged, Metroid Prime 3, tons of great VC games and soon Super Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and Smash Bros. Brawl. Can’t wait.

That’s because I thought it would be longer to wait, but finally Nintendo releases this great import.

TREASURE!! YES!!
I’m upset too about how both Europe and America can be screwed over.
March 14th, 2010 at 9:56 pm
Don’t worry. It’s out in North America now along with SMB the lost levels!

I have a PC-Engine Duo-R at home. Usually, most people didn’t know what it is. If I would now ask someone today he’d probably be like “Oh yeah lol i have some of the games for my Wii!” It just makes it appear less hardcore.
Although it’s a great move from Nintendo to attract those “casual gamers”, and to make old games available for everyone, I have lost a bit of faith in Nintendo. I WANT TO BE A NRED

*downloads*
It’s by Treasure who made Ikaruga, so I must have it.
Although I’m very grateful Nintendo brought this game over to Europe, I generally disapprove the Virtual Console. Not only because of the prices – mainly because I simply could not play games on something other than there original consoles. (N64 aside, I download those because they’re sharper.) It also makes a lot of games appear less hardcore. (to be continued due to 500 character-limit)

Gamers in Europe are very lucky to play Sin and Punishment on the Virtual Console… I really want this game to reach the North American region. I can’t always get what I want, but sometimes I must disregard it. A Hannabi Festival game it is, but it was never released in America either. Nintendo of America’s Quality Control is so unfavorable at this moment…
