I don’t think the chapel boss was censored for censorship issues but rather hardware limitations.

Nice Vid.
I have the PC Engine version and although the changes are minimal(white mask and inverted cross) Its a great game
Interesting that on the Wii, US gamers get the Turbografx 16 version and JP gamers get the Arcade version.

Love the video review, hey when are you going to do a video on Castlevania Rondo of Blood, that would have been a cool reveiw to do for Halloween, but this one was pretty good. I remember this classic game game,my buddy had it on the Genesis

Glad to see you are still putting out good stuff. Liked the bit of history and back story you gave regarding the game. Also loved the fact you covered the arcade version as well as the PC Engine. We here at Substance TV approve and thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work!

Great review! One of my favorites for the TG-16! I still have my complete copy and cherrish it! “The guy punches knives for Pete’s sake!” I hope the new version coming out for PS3 and Xbox 360 does the title justice. For some reason, I have a feeling they won’t be able to capture the same spirit as the original … just because it’s now in 3D. But who knows?
