@SKULLDUCER It’s called a tri-wing and you can pick them up on ebay for around £1.50. You can get the screws on the side out without one, but the ones on the underside are a pain.

I still cant figure out how to take off the stickers without ruining them. You seem to just pop them off which is very odd seeing as they are stickers.

if it just cant read disk and you have time and smarts you can simply buy the laser disk instead of the whole dvd drive. you save like 20 dollars and you dont have to waste time finding which drive is the best A, B, C,or D… by the way which is the best? lol

Got any tips for the deep ones? The triwing won’t fit all the way in with the screwdriver too; it’s too fat.
