Awesome Video!!!5 stars from me!The Xbox 360 is an overhating machine…I tried to fix mine today…I fixed the 3 red lights..Xbox started smoothly…everything was ok….I played GTA IV…After that,I turned the console off and then turn it on to see if everything was ok…but it showed up 3 red lights again…god damnit…!
Any ideas???

I’ll try that, thanks alot of these videos man, i’ve had mine since it came out and this is the first time I actually have to fix the f-er.. but ya I broke it apart and going to do so.

it means that when you reconnected all your parts the cooling system was not reinstalled properly so it would basically do the towel trick by itself repeatedly

i watched a video and i took my xbox apart and every thing
now when i first turn it on it blinks 3 red lights
then after a few seconds and goes to just 2 blinking lights
does any1 have any advce for me

Thanks alot man, im going to try this. I had the RRoD 7-8 months in but I voided that warranty to switch the white case for a black case. I got a new xbox arcade, so ill try an fix my older xbox

they do suck. had mine for 7 months worked perfectly, now i got the E74 error. piece of junk!! I had my PS2 for 7 years, and still has no problems. Xbox blows my cock! buy a PS3

If you are refering to the silver tube, then that is Silver nitrate silver (arctic silver). It helps conduct heat to the heat sink
