Hit arrow to expand for summary and testing details: Geoff and Burnie’s hand try out a series of USB flash drives to see which one works best with the new Xbox 360 Dashboard Update! @ApplePC360Tutorials All usb drives are not the same, cheaper drive means slower speeds, and easier to damage.I have 80gb total usb memory thanks to this update, and i’m not telling you how i have 80gb.Also i can transfer the xbox data easier and make my own themes and gamer pics.

@VeryNiceHighfive Thank you for your reply, I guess buying an external hard drive makes more sense that buying a USB flash drive.

@jodase01 yeah you can i have that exact seagate hard drive they use and it works great and i still have 23gb left over for other data. Just make sure that it is formatted in fat32. So i think this is a great buy.

Hi, I have a question, can I use an external HDD for the xbox 360 (like the seagate he has used in the video, I know there is a 16GB cap for external storage devices) and use the remaining free space for data? I mean, can I remove the hard drive off the xbox without losing any data or games saved?

    Thanks.

  18. 2037Bomber said:

@MrZoom4100 Any flash drive should be compatible with the Xbox 360.

  19. 2037Bomber said:

@holder350 When you attach the device to another source ( like a laptop for instance ) it should let you store anything you want on it just as long as you don’t overwrite the 360 data. However the Xbox 360 will only be able to use up to 16gb so buying a 16gb flash is really the only thing worth getting for this feature unless you already have a mobile HDD that is bigger.
